Leprosy is a chronic infectious disease caused by a bacterium called Mycobacterium leprae affecting the skin and nerves. - PKKN Sungai Buloh menjadi pelopor kepada penemuan vaksin mencegah sakit kusta yang diperolehi dari getah buah Setumpol.
Pesakit-pesakit kusta ditempatkan di ‘chalet-chalet’ dan menjalani kehidupan seharian mereka dengan aktiviti penanaman pokok bunga dan lanskap.
