The period of position
Subject to section 13, the members appointed under paragraph 10 (a) or (g) shall, unless sooner resigns or his appointment is sooner revoked, hold position for a period or not exceed three years as determined by the Minister at the time of his appointment and is eligible for reappointment.
Revocation of appointment and resignation of members
(1) The appointment of members under paragraph 10 (a) or (g) may at any time be revoked by the Minister.
(2) A member appointed under paragraph 10 (a) or (g) may at any time resign the position by giving fourteen days notice in writing addressed to the Minister.
evacuation the position
The position of a member appointed under paragraph 10 (a) or (g) shall be vacated if-
(A) he dies;
(B) there has been proved against him, or he has been convicted on, a charge in respect of –
(I) an offense involving fraud, dishonesty or moral turpitude;
(Ii) an offense under any law relating to corruption; or
(Iii) any other offense punishable with imprisonment (in itself only or
in addition to or instead of a penalty of a fine) for more than two years;
(C) he becomes bankrupt;
(D) he is of unsound mind or is otherwise incapable of discharging his duties;
(E) did not attend the meeting of the Council three consecutive times without the permission of the Chairman and in the case
Chairman without leave of the Minister;
(F) his resignation is accepted by the Minister; or
(G) his appointment is revoked by the Minister
Filling up vacancies
If a member appointed under paragraph 10 (a) or (g) ceases to be a member of the Council, the Minister may appoint another person to fill the vacancy for the remaining term of the vacating member was appointed.
